History» About seventeen years ago on a crisp fall morning Ross was born to a single mother by the name of Sarah White. Most mothers would gleam and shimmer at the sight of their newborn babe, but all who witnessed the miraculous birth can tell you her expression was quite otherwise. You see, Ross’s life began long before he was ever born. His father Coty was a werewolf with only intentions of good towards the human world. While he was very good at hiding his powers, Coty had no shame in what he was. Coty wanted to save supernaturals from the hunters, but Sarah wanted otherwise. She had a strong aversion to supernaturals and being a were herself she had only wanted to save her species and have them dominate the world.
Their opposing viewpoints and her developing tastes for darker things eventually tore them apart. Thus seven weeks before Ross was born Coty abandoned his broken family. Broken hearted and scorned, Sarah was disgusted by the child which the doctor held in his hands. The bright blue eyes and dark hair only reminded her of her traitorous husband. So it was grudgingly that she raised the child. Despite bearing a deep resentment towards her ex-husband she still did bear some kind of sympathy for the child. After all it was her blood running through his veins.
So it was when the child turned three and she was unable to provide for him the love he deserved that she abandoned him in the streets of New Orleans amidst a hefty crowd. He wandered the thick crowd running past person after person hoping to see his fair haired mother, but he never found her. She evaded him like a ghost in the mist and it was there amongst strangers that he stood crying. A woman by the name of Adele Bellafontaine picked him up into her arms and searched for his mother. Unable to find her she gave him over to the authorities who placed him in a home until they could find his mother. Unable to do so he ended up an orphan.
It would be another two years before Ross found a suitable home. Adele, a supernatural herself, simply knew he was special and so she contacted her sister. So it was there that Ross found a home with the Taylor-Fairfax's. Mostly humans themselves, bore a great appreciation for the supernatural due to the small portion of there family that were supernaturals themselves. The Taylors treated Ross as if he were born into that family. They loved him, cared for him, provided for him and when the time came they supported him on his journey to St. Gabriel where their biological son Henry worked as a teacher. Henry loved Ross. The minute Ross arrived the two of them became very close. Regardless of the fact that they’re not related neither have really paid much attention to it.
Like his father Ross was a grey werewolf. When he was thirteen he felt the full impact of rejection from his biological family and the lack in the sense of belonging from his adopted family. He let it all go and one thing led to the next he was running furry butted through the forest.
The years following were a lot of hush-hush. Mrs. Taylor’s witch sister disappeared on Ross’s fourteenth birthday. Her body was found six months later mangled, burned and unrecognizable. Horrified by the murder the Taylor’s guarded Ross and his newfound secret with their unyielding love. Henry, who harbored a secret himself and offered a place at St. Gabriels to protect his sibling.
