With his age Alex has developed fairly strong powers. He has the ability to manipulate people’s minds whether it is to alter their memories or push them against their will. Alex also has the typical vampire abilities which have only gotten better with age, but he is also presumably more sensitive to the sun and he also has the ability to fly.

Not much can be remembered about Alex’s history. He was born as Tiberius Marcus Crassus in Rome in early 27 b.c.. to a Legatus by the name of Marcus and his wife, a senator’s daughter, Lydia. He was a privileged child who was educated in many things including Latin, philosophy, but most importantly warfare. He had only one sibling, a younger sister who died at the age of ten. Although he and Mira were fairlyclose, her death had not adversely affected him. He felt that if the gods had willed it and her illness was that serious then he would rather they take her from her suffering than watch her in misery.
When he was fifteen his father was killed in a battle against barbarians trying to invade a small town on the outskirts of the republic. His mother was devastated and his family was shocked with the tragic loss. Tiberius was thrust into his father’s position as head of the house and would in time take his father’s place as Legatus. With his father’s death Tiberius felt a strong need to excel in everything that he did. No matter what happened he protected his mother and the name of his house. This meant fending off numerous suitors looking to wed his widowed mother and preventing rivals from taking his place as Legatus.
He trained strenuously and ranked up to become on the most successful generals in the Roman Army. With this success he gained the attention of a renowned Senator who offered the hand of his daughter in order to add the Roman hero to his family name. Tiberius happily married Illithya with whom he had three children with. He was deeply in love with her and would bring her the most exotic luxuries from the conquests the republic sent him on. He lived to the ripe age of twenty-seven before his troops were ambushed near the barbarians borders Rome was trying to claim. Tiberius did his best to protect his troops and the golden eagle which they prized more than their lives, but lost consciousness after the barbarians ripped him from his horse and hacked him down. The barbarians slaughtered the Romans leaving most of them to bleed out and die.
When Tiberius awoke he was inside a well-furnished Roman home. At the foot of his bed was a woman with long black hair, pale skin and bright green eyes. Her name was Lilith. She explained to him the gift she bestowed upon him. She was unable to watch him die as she admired not only his bravery, but the unselfish devotion he displayed for his men. Tiberius was enraged, but he knew that he could not approach his family in this state. So he allowed the mortal world to believe he had died only stopping by his home during the night to ensure his family was doing well. Illithya never re-married, but her sons went on to redeem their fathers name by becoming a soldier and senator respectively.
As the centuries went on Tiberius went on killing sprees with his mate and maker Lilith. When he was about five hundred years old she began to lose sight in the magic of immortality. So in order to quell her turmoil she exposed herself to the sun and committed suicide. This left Tiberius alone and resenting of her stupidity. For him immortality was a great gift, to give it up was foolish. He traveled the world starting in the Far East and ending in America. He lived out many of his centuries in America fighting wars and feeding on new colonists. It was a good life that he maintained and enjoyed.
With his age, knowledge and massive count of victims Tiberius accumulated quite the amount of wealth which he used to spend on bait to lure in beautiful women. One of which was his beloved Progeny Marie d’polignac. She was a sweet and pure thing who was struggling to hold onto the Island and Estates which ran through her family since the Island’s settling in 1774. Challenged by a rich British Monarch, Tiberius answered to her call to save the Island with his accumulated wealth, in exchange for her companionship. Thus it was that they were inseparable. Marie reminded him of the daughter he loved in his mortal life and he would redeem all the years lost.
In 1821 he caught sight of a beautiful woman by the name of Rose. She was slender with long wavy dark hair and bright green eyes. She reminded him greatly of his maker. He did all he could to try and attract her, but she was immune to his gifts and lures. His petty offering and flatteries were not enough to rip her from her husband and true love Alexander Devereaux.
Enraged and frustrated Tiberius forced her husband to watch as he ravaged and drained his wife. Alexander’s only request when Tiberius asked him to beg for his life was that he be killed so that he could be reunited with her. Tiberius was shocked by the request and relented. Days after the incident Tiberius found himself dwelling on their extreme loyalty to one another, but also the innocence and life that he took away from them.
He slowly slipped into a sense of self-loathing and depression asking himself how he could have become so monstrous without any conscious to hold him in place. After several unsuccessful attempts at suicide Marie directed his attentions towards the students at her school. She enlisted him I her ranks of teachers and taught him he art of compassion and care, giving him a reason to live. Rather than keep his name, he changed it to match his victim so that each day he could hope to be as great and blessed as he was. She left one day to recruit more students from New York City. There she was captured and through her mental bond with her maker she said goodbye before she was burned alive.
Wanting to seek vengeance Alexander plotted his assault on the holy cross, but upon leaving the school realized that there was no headmaster to care for the students. Unable to abandon them, he remained vowing to protect his students at all costs....
