Esme coughed nervously, unsure of how to say the next part. 'I can't, Sir. She wants you there, too. She likes to meet newcomers to the island. You needn't worry, though-Granny Winters is a witch. She's completely neutral, and will just as gladly trade with humans as she does supes. She makes them sign a contract, first, though, so they can't reveal her true nature to anyone that could hurt her.'
She waited nervously for his response, adding an afterthought after a moment. 'If you agree to come see her, Sir, we'll be traveling by air. It's faster than running through the forest.'

Henry looked up curiously not really catching what she was saying until she finished. After he realized she was serious he looked around as if trying to put it on someone else. To the left. To the right and then down his shirt. It was a silly gesture, but then again it was such an odd request. "You're joking right?" His cajun accent peaked through his voice as he raised a brow. He laughed a bit before realizing she was completely serious.
Henry cleared his throat before crossing his arms. "I mean your grandmother no disrespect and I don't mean to disrespect you either kid." He paused for a moment. Then shook his head uncrossing his arms to slide a hand through his hair. The blonde locks falling one by one in his finger's wake. "But I'm not going anywhere I don't know anything about."
It was like red riding hood. Only instead of being the big bad wolf Henry would have to pop on a little hood and go to granny's house. He mentally shook the thought away as he recrossed his arms. "Plus it's really inappropriate for me as staff to be going anywhere alone with a student." He looked at his watch to keep up with the time. "No offense, really I'm just covering my neck alright?"

Esme agreed with what he'd said about staff policy, and knew how shifty it sounded, but there was only one thing in his statement she could correct.
'Granny Winters isn't my Grandmother, Sir. I just call her that because she brought up with it. I was abandoned on her doorstep when I was barely a day old, along with my sword and a letter to her explaining what I was, my birthdate, and my name. Not many get an invitation to enter the house, Sir-it's actually an honor in these parts.
'And the house itself really isn't all that far. She just hates being kept waiting, is all.' Esme pointed to where the path bent and swerved away sharply, but then nothing more could be seen. However, scents of herbs drifted through the air, catching her mind and bringing memories of her childhood with them.
'She'll come out here if you don't, Sir. And she won't be happy if she does. The years haven't been kind to her frame.'

Henry looked down at his watch and shook his head. "Look give her my apology and I'm sorry, but I'm not from around here." With a small tap of his finger onto his watch he emphasized his point. "It's late kid, I have to get back to the Academy to help Sophie in case someone comes in with late night boo-boos." Henry's tone was short and careful. While he understood it was a nice gesture and an invitation, Henry had been on the island for an excess of ten years. He wasn't new and could navigate the entire island blindfolded.
"You're going without me." He said sternly before beginning to walk back the way he came. Henry wasn't the type to be stern or rude, but he wasn't going to some woman's house in the middle of the night during a full moon. He had students to take care of, but mostly he didn't trust anyone. Like Ross Henry had avoided situations that seemed sketchy or odd. He was okay with admitting he was scared. If they killed someone Luka's age, Henry was sure they'd have no problem with a werewolf as young as him.
He looked over his shoulder for a moment and ignored the brightness and call of the moon. He had already shifted for the night, the moon could chillax. "Sorry kid, No hard feelings, but have fun visiting her." Henry decided he'd walk a good distance until he couldn't be seen, before he shifted to make his run back to the campus grounds. Not only did he want to avoid exposing himself to a student, but he'd rather avoid being seen by anyone else either.

Esme sighed. 'Yes, Sir. And Granny's definitely going to kill me now. She's been trying to see you for the past ten years. Oh, well.' She reached up and grabbed a branch, using the one she was stood on as a springboard into the air.
'I wish you luck on your way back to the Academy, Sir. And be careful of Ross-he's sniggering about something, and I'm not sure anyone will enjoy it.' She smiled, floating in the tree canopy, and then turned, shifting into her full human form. The clothes she'd been wearing had been loose and baggy before, to allow for movement, but now they were even more so on her thin frame.
'I'll see you around the Academy, Sir.' She bowed to him, and was gone, leaving no sign of her presence other than her scent drifting through the air, and even that was quickly removed from the air in the area.
