There was an interesting little inkling that Henry had that something was just bound to go wrong today. His mind was set on nothing except the fact that all bad things happen after full moons. It had been that way a majority of his life. Sadly enough it wasn’t that he’d get hurt it was just that he usually got caught on the naked sprint back to his clothes. At this point he welcomed it. He couldn’t even count how many times he had gotten caught by females butt naked running across the lawns.
It caused a lot of trouble for the guidance counselor. It was hard enough getting students to open up and when the image of his ehem… was clouding the minds of the already hormonal high school girls there was no talking about anything appropriate. He was sure at least a majority of the senior class females had already seen his penis and in the same instance he wasn’t even close to be insecure about it. He just wasn’t feeling the lecture and snap that came from the headmaster’s hands. Henry wasn’t exactly cocky, but he wasn’t exactly shy either. The point was he just wished it happened a little less and of course minus the aid of…
“Speak of the devil…” Henry stared at the illuminated screen hiding behind the book cover. The muscles in his face seemed to go slack as opened the message. “Dear Henry, nice ass…facebook! LOVE ROSS!” The big bold letters struck a grimace on his face as he downloaded the picture trying not to growl as he read the words. Lo and behold the night after a full moon someone already had a picture of him sprinting across the courtyard butt naked. Somehow it didn’t surprise him that Ross would be the idiot with the picture seeing as he was the one who hid his clothes in the first place.
He groaned quietly slightly regretting his family adopting him and slightly regretting suggesting that Ross attend the school he graduated from and worked at. Burying his face into the DSM-IV he had pulled off from a shelf a few minutes prior, Henry drew in a deep breath. Refreshing on his psychology in peace was clearly not on the list of to-dos today. “I swear to god Ross I‘m going to kill you when I find you…”
Henry took a deep breath smelling the thick ink of the textbook and it’s binding. He was really going to kill Ross this time, he just wasn’t sure how he was going to do it.

Esme reached up from the top of the ladder she had climbed to reach the book she needed, reaching further and further up until she finally caught hold of the spine. With a sigh of relief, she tugged gently, and then frowned when it stayed where it was. She tugged harder, and huffed when it still didn't move. Noticing that the other books on each side had also moved, she narrowed her eyes in annoyance. After looking around to make sure there wasn't anyone else nearby, she used the tiniest touch of her powers to gently pull the book out, having completely forgotten that she was something like fifteen feet up in the air, and jerked backwards when it came free. Her grip on the ladder rung loosened, she fell backwards with a shriek, landing hard on the ground near to where she'd left Tsundere. 'Oww... that one hurt...'

Henry deleted the image before slipping his iphone into his pocket. His ears were hot with irritation and his eyes traced over the words in the DSM-IV. It was the same words over and over again as Henry tried to focus, but Ross had successfully managed to irk him. He loved the kid, but sometimes he wished he could trade places with Sura for a day and turn him into a pile of dust. Unable to focus he shut the book and was shocked when it made a louder than realistically possible thud. He lifted his hand from the book and raised a brow.
“What the Fu...” Before he could finish his sentence he heard a voice and he turned to see a somewhat familiar face. Luckily for him it wasn't his superhuman strength that made the book slam, in fact it wasn't even the book at all. Henry rolled his eyes as he readjusted himself in his seat to face her. He had two choices, ignore her and go hide in his office or talk to her. Last time he had run into the high school Sophomore she was trying to get him to go to Granny's house. As much of a friendly person as Henry was that was pushing it a little too far.
Henry cleared his throat before crossing his arms. There was no use ignoring her, he worked at the school and it was rude to ignore students. “Jeez not you again...” He said with a shake of his head. Henry would have offered her help up, but he read somewhere in her file that she was one of those students who preferred not be approached by males. So he stayed put grabbing the DSM-IV off the desk and deciding to flip through it again. “You alright there champ?” He asked her noting that she fell from quite a distance. He would have made some smartass comment about cats and landing on their feet, but he figured that was pretty inappropriate not to mention he didn't want to hurt her feelings.

Esme managed a smile at Henry as she pushed herself to her feet. 'Yes, Sir. I've had worse falls, anyway.' She probed her ribs with her fingers a moment, and a proper smile lifted her lips. 'Just bruises, for once. Nothing broken this time.' She laughed, and checked to make sure no-one was nearby and that there were no bugging devices in the area. 'You'd think that with my cat side, I'd be able to land on my feet, but I've always been clumsy. I usually have my own personal cushion of air, but I don't keep it up when I'm inside the school.' She picked up Tsundere and belted it around her waist, settling it so it would be easy to draw if she had to. 'The library staff are that used to my falling off those ladders, now, that they don't even come to check up on who it is that's fallen off them. They know I'll be able to get to the school nurse if I need to. If I did need help, I would just call them.'

Henry shook his head before turning back to his DSM-IV with raised browns. He remembered the girl from the forest and was still a little put off by the fact that she was so insistent that he head to granny's house. He had shared with Ross the awkward experience and Ross readily agreed that his was filled with his awkward share of moments as well. The brothers rarely disagreed on anything, but if they did it was usually around having Ross come out of the closet. Henry just didn't see the point of hiding something that was natural and couldn't be helped, but maybe that was from someone who was readily accepted by society as a straight male. “Right... Well maybe you should be more careful then.” He added.
Henry was pretty close to Sephora. She was born off the coasts of Australia to some kind of society of Sirens. She was royalty in some aspects, because her family was the largest school of mers and sirens. They stuck together and owned a territory that spanned 3/4 of the pacific ocean. If there was anything he knew about her though it was that she hated repeat offenders. Anyone who was clumsy was immediately ushered off to other nursing staff. Sura was one of those repeat offenders, but luckily she had learned to take better care of herself and avoid Seph's scrutiny.
He could still see the sword that she was carrying around. The rumors and her files were true, she never let go of it. It was a little too weird for Henry, but he paid no attention to it. If it made her comfortable he wasn't going to ask her to stop carrying it, but it did make him very uncomfortable for the safety of other students. He knew there were some rotten apples, but no one deserved to get hurt because of it. It was still a school after all and he wished the headmaster had included swords, knives and the like in the ban of weapons like guns.
“Yeah I figure since there aren't many students falling off ladders around here.” He added flipping the page of the DSM-IV to brush up on a few more categories.

Esme sighed in exasperation at herself. 'I do try, Sir, but I don't always succeed, unfortunately. And... I wanted to apologize for my behavior last time we met. I wouldn't have said anything, but Mrs Winters can be really insistent when she wants to be.' Seeing him glance at Tsundere, she smiled sadly. 'I wouldn't hurt anyone with Tsundere, Sir. It's too precious to me for a start. I only have three things of my parent's, and Tsundere is one of them. The other two I can't really carry around.' She laughed, the sound strained, and pushed a hand through her now messed-up hair. 'Perhaps a baby blanket would be a little less weird, but... Tsundere feels right. Like I'm meant to carry it everywhere. I've never even heard of other snow leopard shifters, but I know that other Air Elementals aren't given katanas. I've met a few, because Mrs Winters wanted me to learn control over my... gifts.' She did a quick check of the area around them, but just to be doubly sure, she twisted the air a little so that none would be able to hear her other than Henry. She knew that it paid to be as careful as possible, especially after recent events.

When it came to students Henry did his careful pick and choosing of who he wanted to see outside of his office. Professors and staff did have friendships and sometimes relations outside the classroom. It wasn't discouraged to get acquainted with students, but it was accepted that some chose to draw their lines. Henry was a line drawer. He had students he preferred were in office students and some that he didn't mind spending time with outside of the office. He was a pretty nice guy, but he was also the type that liked his down time without the clutter of work.
“Well she should probably come out to meet people herself.” He advised still not thrilled that he experienced what he did. It was just a step too far in the uncomfortable zone and definitely not the greatest place to start with a first impression. Ross had his laughs about it and had a few things to say himself. The two them talked about everything. Ross was his best friend. The Taylor family was notoriously close and communication definitely made them even closer.
He shrugged as he flipped a page. “I didn't say anything about it...” Henry remarked thumbing through the child disorders knowing he had to brush through that a bit. With the opening of the high school to his repertoire of guidance students he was starting to run into more and more of the younger class. “Like I said if it's your thing, it's your thing.” Henry had his own personal reservations about it, but he wasn't going to share that with her. He was sure she got enough disapproval from peers who found it as uncomfortable as he did.

Esme blinked at him and backed away a little. 'She can't, Sir. It's why I said she wouldn't be happy about having to come out and meet you. Her wheelchair isn't exactly outdoors friendly, or anywhere friendly, for that matter.' Her thoughts turned to Mrs. Winters, the strict woman that had brought her up. Of how she'd been told, when she was much younger, that Mrs. Winters had been in an accident. One that had broken her back, paralyzing her from the waist down. Her witchcraft was the only thing that she had left, despite her fairly young age. Esme liked trying to make her smile, which was why she called her guardian Granny. It was often the only thing that worked-right before a curse was slung at her, anyway.

Henry had to keep his brow from furrowing. He swore this girl came up with a new excuse and twist every time he made a comment. Without so much of a look up, he continued reading. “That's really unfortunate, but at the same time living out in the out of bounds woods isn't exactly the most inviting circumstance.” He added knowing that many students feared going too far away from the academy's protection.
He flipped through the pages trying to ignore his mind. With every diagnosis he was able to name at least one person. It was heart breaking to know how many of his students were afflicted with some kind of disorder. Abuse. Mistreatment. Bullying. Anything and everything as the cause of their neglect. It was always the ones who couldn't hide their powers and it made Henry angry.
He didn't understand how family's could do it. How blood and flesh could abandon their children because they were different. Henry's family was only full of love. While he and Sura were one of the only cases of supes, they still loved him. Even Ross, someone who hadn't been born to their blood had been accepted. It was becoming a sad existence and Henry wondered how much longer it would be before the next generation would stop seeing discrimination.
