Bree has enhanced senses, speed and strength. She can heal herself quickly, and her blood can heal other species wounds. She is also able to manipulate minds of other species; altering memories or using compulsion, although she doesn't like doing the latter.

- Music - Bree can play guitar, bass, piano, violin and the drums, although she prefers to sing. She has a pleasant, soothing singing voice.
- People - Bree is very sociable and caring, almost motherly, to those who need it. She's intuitive, and normally knows how people are feeling before she even asks. She loves meeting new people, as well.
- Intelligence - Although, at times, lacking in common sense, Bree is an extremely intelligent young woman, academically speaking.
W E A K N E S S E S* *
- Depression - Bree has a severe case of depression, brought on by events in her past. Worse, she doesn't acknowledge the fact that she has a problem, and pushes it away to help others, which is bad for her overall health.
- View of herself - Bree doesn't view herself in a positive light. For as long as she can remember, she hasn't been satisfied with who she is as a person and, therefore, will disregard any compliment that she is given, potentially offending a few people.
- Vampirism - Although this has enhanced Bree in a physical sense, in her eyes, it is her greatest weakness. She absolutely despises what she has become, and would do anything to be human again. She also finds the reliance on blood an awful nuisance, and hates hurting others in the process of feeding.

This story starts, not with the blonde haired, blue eyed girl confined to the shadows of night, but with a man. A man by the name of Johnathan, or to all who knew him, Johnny. Well, Johnny was twenty, fresh from college, when a wonderful woman wandered into his life. Her name was Elise, a 'beautiful name for a beautiful woman', so Johnny said so affectionately. The pair met, and soon fell in love. It wasn't much longer than a year after they met that they decided to marry. A simple ceremony was all it took. The couple were declared husband and wife, about to embark on a volatile journey together. The name of that journey? The rest of their lives.
However, the pair knew everything would be fine. Life could throw whatever it wanted at them, as far as they were concerned. They were prepared for almost any situation that could befall them, whether that be marital problems, bankruptcy, almost anything. They would face it with their had folded in the other's, and a smile upon their young, fresh faces. However, note the word almost. See, from a young age, Elise was told that she would never have children. As it would, this hit the young woman hard, but she took it into her stride. Johnny was disappointed, as any want-to-be father would be. But they dealt with it, and carried on like this was not the case.
So, it came as a huge shock to both of them when it became apparent that Elise was pregnant. The shock soon turned to elation, as the one thing they believed they would never have had now come into their grasp. They would be the genuine, happy little family that they hadn't even dared dream of having. And it would ll be coming true. They were happy. They were ecstatic, though, when the first scan revealed that the pair were expecting twins.
The couple were twenty two and twenty one respectively when the girls were born, all big, blue eyes and tufty, light hair. Elise and Johnny had pored over the names for the infants for months, and immediately knew what their names would be. They named one Isabelle, meaning "My God is a Vow", and the other, yes, Bree, meaning "Exalted". This is where the young vampire's life truly began.
Now, like all vampires, Bree was once human. Her human years were the best years of her relatively short life. Her first memory is running alongside her sister through a field that neighbored their house, her hair flying behind her, her mother struggling to keep up with the pair. She remembers her father's strong arms as he lifted her high above his head, his smiling green eyes conveying all the emotion that words couldn't. The bright sun warming her skin as it set over the hills, something her father loved to show her.
And hence, for the first sixteen years of her life, it was all perfect. As the girls aged, beauty began to shine through the lines of their faces, the curves of their bodies. Bree, being the more reclusive twin, barely took any notice of her changing physical form, and stayed pretty much the same. She did not see herself as beautiful. Which, really, did not matter to her in the slightest. Isabelle, however, became showy, more confident... even a little vain. She was Bree's polar opposite, even though the shell of each personality looked exactly the same.
Unfortunately, it was Isabelle's cocky displays that signaled the downfall of both twins.
By the time Isabelle was sixteen, she was already getting into relationships with boys. Call Bree old fashioned, but she thought it much better to wait until she was older, and could make decisions that were better informed. Anyway, one of the boys Isabelle involved herself with was, Bree swore, nocturnal. His name was Adam, a pale, lanky boy, although he possessed an almost eerie beauty. Bree found the male 'creepy' and told Isabelle that she had a bad feeling about him. Isabelle, however, took no heed. This surprised Bree; it was the first time that her twin hadn't listened to her. However, she decided that it was Isabelle's life, and that she could do whatever she wanted with it. It wasn't Bree's place to rule Isabelle.
But, of course, Bree was proven right. Soon, Adam showed a possessive streak, inquiring into Isabelle's whereabouts every five minutes. This was something that Isabelle could not ignore, and admitted that her sister had been correct. She broke off the relationship, and continued on, assuming that Adam had known that it had been nothing serious. But, oh no, nothing of the sort. Adam had taken it far too seriously.
And that was when it all got more dangerous than Isabelle could even comprehend.
Now, it goes without saying that an irked vampire is a dangerous one. Because that was exactly what Adam was. A vampire. Anyway, his anger soon reached fever pitch. How dare the little slut just throw him away like that? After all he'd watched over her, cared for her! She'd just tossed him to one side! ... And that was when he decided. No one would be able to look out for her like he had; no, not nearly as efficiently. If he couldn't have her, no one could.
Not much was known about what happened next. All that was known by the human population was that a family was found brutally murdered, one missing, in their own home. What happened to the missing member? Well, no one knew. It was rumored that she'd been kidnapped, or that she'd been put into the sex trade. Neither of which, sad to say, were too far from the truth.
What really happened was that Adam, in his volatile state, had changed his mind. Isabelle could live. She could live forever, with him. Her family, however... that was a different story. Adam knew how much Isabelle cared for her family. Seeing them all die would keep her in line. That would keep her by his side. If, even after that, she refused to go with him? A neck was easy thing to snap. A life was an easy thing to take. And so, he'd broken into the Ripsen family home, waiting for either his love or his unfortunate victims.
Unfortunately, the latter came first. Bree, hearing a noise, had gone to investigate, only to be met by the glittering jade eyes of none other than her sister's ex. In his frenzy, Adam confused the girl for Isabelle. And... it doesn't take a genius to figure out what happened. All Bree remembers after that is pain. Waking up to find her family dead around her. Being taken by such a vile creature as he.
And when he eventually found that it was not Isabelle he had claimed? There was not much that could be done. A prize was a prize, no matter if it was the desired prize or not. And so, for one tortuous year, Bree was subjected to all that the vampire had within him. His frighteningly erratic mood changes, the bruises he left on her skin, as well as on her mind. And some other things which are, I regret to inform you, too horrible to speak of.
It took a whole year for her to pluck up the courage to leave. No, she didn't think about the consequences of running away. She just knew she had to get away from him, from his sick, twisted thoughts and actions. She fled without a backward glance, whilst he was on a hunt. She didn't like living as a runaway. But it was better than living under the control of such a vile man.
Soon, she arrived on Elysian Island. Alone and distrusting of anyone, she feared that Adam would find her trail and follow her, although that seemed very unlikely. But, to a certain extent, she still does fear it. But, for now, Elysian Island is as good a hiding place as any. Here, she must live her life by the light of the silvery moon, in shadows. However, she'll never forget being sat with her family, watching the setting sun, with the fading light dappling her skin. It is something that she has missed, and will still miss, dearly.
* *C'EST EN QUELQUE SORTE JUSTICE
RP Sample»The water sprite had ended up going to the pier alone, which she thought was a bit of a shame. Brent was still a bit too sick to go, and wouldn't have even if he wasn't sick. Pier. Water. He wasn't an idiot. ...Well, okay, he wasn't an idiot all the time. Point was, Brent didn't like water. Nope, Fire was his thing. Weird. But, okay. Chase was working. And, well, Bree didn't really know many other people well enough.
She wandered down to the pier, hands in the pockets of her jacket, the chilled air biting at any exposed skin. Not much skin was exposed, though; she wasn't stupid. It was winter now. She hated winter. It was way too cold for her liking. She was more of a springtime person, even if she had been born in winter. February 18th was winter, wasn't it? Yup.
Anyway, she didn't exactly know why she was headed out to the pier. Maybe it was because she was amazingly bored and needed stuff to do other than pore over her notebook and run the florist? Yeah, that seemed plausible. Could be that she was tired of only really knowing two people, though... she wasn't quite sure. She just needed to get out.
She arrived at the pier, taking in all the sights and sounds and smells and stuff. It was really quite a pretty place; especially set against the downcast sky. The sun was just beginning to set; shining of the water surrounding the pier and starting to turn everything into silhouettes. The large ferris wheel looked especially pretty against this backdrop. Too bad Bree didn't do heights.
She just stood for a moment, not really sure what to do first. Did she just have a wander around, get something to eat, or what? She didn't know. Maybe she could go check out a few rides? That sounded like a good idea. For now, anyway. She needed something to do, now that she was here and everything.
Oh, god, everything looked kind of scary. Call Bree a wimp, but there was no way she was getting on any of the loop-de-loops or drop rides or anything like that. They were just...no. The woman actually felt queasy just thinking about it. She hated that sort of thing so much. Ugh, just the thought of it...
She shuddered, shook her head and walked in the other direction of the big, scary rollercoaster that she'd been eyeing warily. She needed something different to do. A different ride. Something less...what was the word...something less "omigodi'mgoingtodie".
She spotted a recently opened water ride that she hadn't tried yet. And, oh man, even this ride looked kind of scary. But it was a water ride... Damnit. Never before had Bree been so conflicted. Well, okay, maybe she had, buuuuut... that had been different? Okay. Lame excuse. But still. Gah. It was too tempting.
She just stood looking at it for a few seconds, before sighing in defeat and joining the back of the long queue, behind a woman with raven hair who appeared to be alone. Well. At least Bree wasn't alone in that respect. Maybe she could strike up a conversation? After all, she needed to get to know more people in Honey Tree. "You on your own too?" she said to the woman, flicking her blonde curls out of her face.
