Joining a new site can be very exciting, but
what if you have plenty of questions and no
admin present to answer? Well fret not, the
starter guide here at C'est La Folie Noire is
equipped to guide you through the process.
While it may not answer all your questions,
it can give you an accurate idea of how to
buildyour character. This guide will help
you navigate through the site even if you're
not sure where to look. Below are links that
will tell you what species, jobs, claims and
characters are available. Each will be
sorted into a category so feel free to thumb
through and get started. Welcome to C'est

Species Guide!WHAT SPECIES ARE AVAILABLE HERE AT C'EST LA FOLIE NOIRE
Whether you want to be a furry freak or
a fluffy feathery weirdo, there are a lot
of choices that you can choose from. So
this is a guide that will give you a
general feel for what each species is on
this site. Once you choose a species,
you can go to the specific guide listed
in it's description. You can also look at
our side bar to see species numbers and
general statistics to see if one species
may need a little boost in numbers.
HYBRIDS ♥ Hybrids are a species that is a combination of two species. They are special
in the sense that they really don't belong to one or the other and are a new
species on their own. They have unique powers and can be the best or worst
of both worlds. Their guide can be found here.
VAMPIRES ♥ Vampires are the undead. They do not sparkle and cannot sire their own
biological children. However they can bite and they can turn. They are
bound to the night and drink blood to survive. As immortals they have
all the time in the world to do as they please. Their guide can be found
here.
WERES ♥ Weres are a species who have been bitten or born a werecreature. They shape
shift into a specific form of animal, predatory, and are allergice to silver.
However, these neat little furballs retain the sense of their animals in human
form. Their guide can be found here.
ANGELS ♥ Angels are a species descended from the real angels in heaven. They are
beautiful creatures that either have lived on earth for generations or have
freshly fallen from grace. They have large wings and an immortal life span
unless that was denied by the divine being, then some will face mortal
turmoil. However, they are the graceful and their guide can be found here.
FAERIES ♥ Faeries are a species that come from a different plane/universe all together.
Most faeries have descended from faeries who have already come to Earth or
who have recently come from the plane of Fae. They are loosely based on
the faeries you see in true blood, but are naturally beautiful and not the
illusion casting grey imps you see there. Here they are beautifully exotic
creatures which bear their own kind of magic. Their guide can be found here.
SHAPESHIFTERS ♥ Unlike weres, shapeshifters have the ability to turn into any animal that
they have knowledge of. They are similarly compelled by the full moon to
shift, but they can choose what animal to shift into. Some shapeshifters
have the ability to be skinshifters, which means they can take the form of
any person they have knowledge of. It's a pretty sweet deal, but all deals
have some kind of catch. So find out more in their guide, here..
DEMONS ♥ Demons are eerily beautiful creatures mostly on the account that they were
once the divine too. Descended from the spawn and warriors of hell or the
underworld, Demons are naturally dark creatures who, like vampires, have
a taste for blood. Most demons will come from demons who already live on
Earth, but some may be angels who have fallen so far from grace that
they have landed themselves in the underworld. Whatever the case their

HUMANS ♥ Humans are pretty self-explanatory and although they're considered
normal, deserve some love too. What they lack in supernatural ability
is made up with heart and other characteristics. Humans can be just
as interesting and if you really need a guide on being human, you can
check it out here.
WITCHES ♥ These are the humans that didn't want to be so human anymore. They
have the acquired and or born ability to use magic. It's very different
from the type of magic faeries use, but it can in some cases be just as
potent. Some witches have natural powers, but most have to learn
what they do. Whatever the case, a guide to being a witch is right
here.
SIRENS & MERS ♥ Yes! Sirens and Merpeople exist. In fact, these tailed beauties can roam
the land, but they must return during the high tide. However, they
have powerful qualities and powers bestowed upon them so I would be
careful what you fish for. If you want to know more about these fishy

ELEMENTALS ♥ This species is pretty neat in the sense that they can control the elements
or anything organic belonging to the Earth. That means that you can have
anything from someone who can control plants to someone who can create
blizzards with a flick of their wrists. If you want to know more about them

Schooling At St. Gabriel?HOW THE GRADE LEVELS IN THE SCHOOL WORK
St. Gabriel moves in an eight point system
and is based on American schooling levels.
The first four years are high school age
students while the last four years are the
college students. (More information below)
Staff can apply or have been recruited to
fit certain needs the school has. While some
students receive letters to welcome them
to St. Gabriel without applying other
students have applied or have transferred
from other places.
FIRST YEARS ♥ First years are the youngest of the bunch. These are children who are just starting
their first year of high school and are known as High School Freshman. Their age
group is usually from the ages of 14-15. However, younger students who present
the mental capability of handling higher learning are permitted to attend at this
level as well. Older children who have failed or never received formal schooling
can be permitted to attend as first years. Therefore the age group for this level is
flexible to an extent.
SECOND YEARS ♥ Second years are the children who have graduated from first year and are known
as High School Sophomores. Their age group is usually from the ages of 15-16.
However, younger students who present the mental capability of handling higher
learning are permitted to attend at this level as well. Older children who have
failed or have been held back for some other reason can be permitted to attend as
second years. Therefore the age group for this level is flexible to an extent.
THIRD YEARS ♥ Third years are the children who have graduated from second year and are
known as High School Juniors. Their age group is usually from the ages of 16-17.
However, younger students who present the mental capability of handling
higher learning are permitted to attend at this level as well. Older children who
have failed or have been held back for some other reason can be permitted to
attend as third years. Therefore the age group for this level is flexible to an
extent.
FOURTH YEARS ♥ Fourth years are the children who have graduated from third year and are known
as High School Seniors. This group is special in the sense that they are finishing
their final term as a lower level student. They will graduate at the end of the year
and receive an automatic acceptance into the upper level schooling at St. Gabriel
should they choose to return. Their age group is usually from the ages of 17-18.
However, younger students who present the mental capability of handling higher
learning are permitted to attend at this level as well. Older children who have
failed or have been held back for some other reason can be permitted to attend as
fourth years. Therefore the age group for this level is flexible to an extent.
FIFTH YEARS ♥ The fifth year is the beginning of upper level schooling and students included in
this bracket are known as College Freshman. These students are a mixture of
students (as all grade brackets are) that contains both students who have
graduated from St. Gabriel Lower Schooling and students who have transferred
from other colleges or who have applied and received acceptances letters to the
exclusive college. Their age group is usually from the ages of 18-19. However,
younger students who present the mental capability of handling higher learning
are permitted to attend at this level as well. Older children can be expected in
this bracket due to some starting college later, previous hindrances in schooling
or simply because they wanted to start over. Therefore the age group for this
level is flexible to an extent.
SIXTH YEARS ♥ Sixth years are the students who have graduated from fifth year. These are students
who are beginning their second year of college and are known as College Sophomores.
Their age group is usually from the ages of 19-20. However, younger students who
present the mental capability of handling higher learning are permitted to attend at
this level as well. Older children can be expected in this bracket due to some starting
college later, previous hindrances in schooling or simply because they wanted to
start over. Therefore the age group for this level is flexible to an extent.
SEVENTH YEARS ♥ Seventh years are the students who have graduated from their sixth year. These
are students who are beginning their third year of college and are known as
College Juniors. Their age group is usually from the ages of 20-21. However,
younger students who present the mental capability of handling higher learning
are permitted to attend at this level as well. Older children can be expected in
this bracket due to some starting college later, previous hindrances in schooling
or simply because they wanted to start over. Therefore the age group for this
level is flexible to an extent.
EIGHTH YEARS ♥ Eighth years are the students who have graduated from seventh year and are
known as College Seniors. This group is special in the sense that they are finishing
their final term as an upper level student. They will graduate at the end of the
year with their college diploma and be offered a place of work at St. Gabriel should
they choose to return. Their age group is usually from the ages of 21-22. However,
younger students who present the mental capability of handling higher learning
are permitted to attend at this level as well. Older children who have failed or have
been held back for some other reason can be permitted to attend as eighth years.
Therefore the age group for this level is flexible to an extent.

Working At St Gabriel?THIS IS A GUIDE ON BEING STAFF AT ST. GABRIEL St. Gabriel takes pride in their ability to protect
their students and create an environment that
allows their students to flourish. Therefore staff
has been recruited to fit every imaginable need
the school has. While staff members are made
and comprised of mostly former students, many
outside hands are hired as well. However all
staff is under scrutiny of rules and expectations
while background checks are lax, while at the
school they must not violate the one major law
within school grounds never harm a fellow staff
member or student. However, teachers are
permitted to drink, party and behind the
headmaster's back snog with their students. Like
the students teachers are also protected under St.
Gabriel's watch and therefore are allowed to have
their own lives.

The descriptions of each job are offered below. ADMINISTRATION ♥ These are the heads of the school. They make vital decisions on how the school
should be run and who should be permitted on the grounds. Most of them come
from powerful backgrounds and some are shrouded in mystery. However these
are the people who should have the best intentions for the students and who
would sooner lay down their lives than have anything happen to them.
ST. GABRIEL GUARD ♥ This is a new group on campus which was put installed after the new head
of safety took his place. The group is known as the St. Gabriel guard and is
responsible for keeping students and staff safe. This group is highly trained
and most who are employed have at minimal SWAT training and or
military training. These men/women are always armed and take their job
seriously. They move in shifts like the medical staff do and at all times of
the day will report any abnormal security issues to the captain. All major
issues that must be handled with ammunition or direct force is reported
to the head of safety.
SICKWING ♥ Sick wing or the Infirmary are the staff who are medically qualified to handle
student illness or injury. They are a staff comprised of doctors and nurses who
move in shifts to cover the full 24 hours of the day and seven days of the week
to ensure that all students and staff are taken care of whenever they need it.
Regular check ups and such are permitted as well.
STUDENT SERVICES ♥ Student services is a group of staff who are dedicated to making St. Gabriel a
comfortable place. This means that they are generally the staff who interact
a little more one on one with the students and are the staff who are qualified
to handle any mental or emotional issues that students may be experiencing.
They are bound by confidentiality and will only report to the headmaster if
there is a student who needs to be sent to a mental medical facility or who is
a direct harm to themselves and other students, besides that they are only
there to help and make the students and staff as welcome as possible.
GENERAL STAFF ♥ Staff is needed all around the school, not only to maintain it's appearance,but
to ensure that everything is running smoothly and efficiently. Therefore staff
is needed in many other departments rather than student focused groups.
General staff includes everything from the librarians to the cooks. These are
the backbone of the school and are just as important in making St. Gabriel's
occupants feel welcome and at home.
TEACHERS AND PROFESSORS ♥ Last, but not least we have our teachers and professors. These are the people who
are qualified and responsible for educating the students. Teachers are only
permitted to teach at a lower school (high school) level, while professors can teach
both upper school (college) and lower school. There can be multiple teachers/
professors for classes as there are many students who take them. (Currently only
two teachers/professors per subject).

Life On Elysium?WANT TO BE A CIVILIAN AND NOT PART OF THE SCHOOL?
Not everyone wants to live, work or study at
St. Gabriel and we at C'est La Folie Noire
understand that. Therefore we have an array
of different job listings for civilians as well.
Because even if they don't attend the school
they're bound to run into staff and students
on the little island anyway. Civilians of
Elysium can be newcomers, study abroaders,
travelers or simply just natives of the island.
Here's an idea of what your charrie can do in
their civilian life or combined with their life
at St. Gabriel.

The descriptions of each job are offered below.HOLY CROSS FOLLOWERS ♥ The Holy Cross has a pretty large following and although the island is full
of supes it also has it's innocent humans who weren't really aware of the
island's secret. This means that there are hunters and members on the
island creeping around. However some people just like the doctrine and
don't want to do a lot of damage so they treat it like a church group and
follow it as they would any other religion, but beware those who mean to
cause harm. After all, there are many hunters looking to make a killing
from the legends.
LACROIX CAFE ♥ Lacroix Cafe is a campus owned cafe/coffee shop that is run in the campus
square. It's a lovely place where students often seek work, but is open to
civilian hired hands as well.
LE MARAIS FLOWERSHOP ♥ Another campus owned place, Le Marais is in the campus square and caters
to many of the students and staff looking to impress a sweetheart. They are
a flowershop open to both student and civilian hire.
GARNIER BOOKSTORE ♥ Garnier is the campus bookstore which operates in the campus square. It
houses many books for both leisure and education. They are open to both
student and civilian hire.
THE EIFFEL RESTUARANT ♥ The Eiffel is a restaurant which operates in the campus square. It is a five
star restaurant which caters to students who can afford to eat out rather
than stay in to eat what's offered in the grand banquet hall. They are
open to both student and civilian hire, although most students work as
waiters and dishwashers due to the fact that many of them don't have
culinary experience.
STARBUCKS CAFE ♥ A pretty popular cafe, Starbucks is a coffee shop and cafe located off campus
and in the main town functions of Elysium. It's a bit of ways from the school,
but is open to both civilian and student hire.
LA PETIT NICE RESTAURANT ♥ Not many civilians want to go out of their way to go to St. Gabriel's campus
square for a bite to eat or a dinner with their sweetheart, so the town has it's
own nice sit down restaurant. La Petit Nice is open to civilian and student
hire.
ST. MICHAELS HOSPITAL ♥Have an accident? Need some care that maybe the school didn't help you with?
St. Michaels hospital is open to the public 24/7. Their staff is experienced
and caters to everything from routine check-up to emergency surgery.
MCGREGOR'S PUB AND GRILL ♥ Need a drink or maybe you just want a burger to go? Whatever the case
McGregor's caters to all. Bartenders have to be 21 or over and alcohol is only
served with proof of ID stating they are 21 or above.
GRANT ZOO ♥ People love animals and Grant Zoo has tons of them. Whether you want to
see the penguins, watch the orcas do their exhibitions or maybe just pet the
cuddly bunnies, Grant Zoo has something for you. Located in silver city they
hire experienced handlers and those with college degrees in some kind of animal
study.
SMART FOODS ♥ There are lots of residences on Elysium island and not everyone gets to eat
out everyday. Therefore Smart Foods is one of the one stop shops for residents
needing groceries. They're an all organic store with many of the domestically
grown foods.
THE DRIVE IN ♥ There aren't too many drive-in theaters left in the world, however one still
stands proud and functional in Silver City, Elysium. It's one of the fancier
drive-ins with mock 50's cars with nice seats and the surround sound feel.
COCO & SHAYS BAKERY ♥ One of the more famous bakery's in town coco and shays has an array of bright
decorative and delicious treats. For those students who can't drive out to Silver
City, don't fret they deliver their delicious treats to the Academy to be sold and
served at the snack stands and cafeteria.
ABSOLUTE ZERO NIGHT CLUB ♥ Need a place to party? Absolute Zero is one of the only clubs in town. It caters
to eighteen year olds and above. However to work at Absolute you must be
twenty-one as they do serve alcohol. Alcohol is served to 21 and over and the
club is open at sunset till dawn.
OTHER JOBS ♥ Because the real world isn't limited to much, neither are we. Jobs are
jobs and if you're not liking any of these jobs for your character we
can definitely make a new category for you. Whether you want to be
a doctor or a construction worker, just let us know. We'll even make a
new board for you if you need something for your business or practice.

The Want Ads!THE EXISTING CHARACTER REQUESTS Sometimes you don't have an idea for a
character or sometimes you just want
to start a plot with someone. Maybe you
just like their ideas? Whatever the case
there are members here who have
existing characters with exciting plots
waiting for you. So here are a few of

new ad is added this list will be updated. FIRST MIDDLE LAST ♥ He doesn't have a name yet, but I bet he has a cute face. He should because
he'll be the future husband to the lovely and beautiful Faery Etiennette
Leclair. She's a sweetheart with a heart of gold who teaches french at
St. Gabriel Academy. She's been on her own for a while and could use a

SOLHEIM SIBLINGS ♥ Amidst the many powerful families that have children attending St.Gabriel,
there is a family of particular notice when it comes to the magical community.
The Solheims have a wicked history and a twisted tale, but their power is just
as strong as the rumors. The siblings in full have come to St. Gabriel and in
order for their story to unfold all must be present. If you think you can handle

ROSE WILLIAMS ♥ Ever wanted to be Daddy's perfect little princess? What about Daddy's little air
elemental? Well Rose Williams is a charming young girl with the interesting
ability to control air. Her father is the Psychology professor at St. Gabriel and
they have a fantastic relationship with one another. However poor little Rose
isn't currently real at the moment and a father does need his daughter. So if
you are interested in reuniting the two please check out the original ad located

FIRST MIDDLE REVLIN ♥ We don't know his first name, but he do know his last. The elusive Monsieur
Revlin is the half-brother of a professor here at St. Gabriel. Strangely enough
no one is any the wise as neither the brother know one another and no one
asks second questions about past histories. However, sometime soon he'll find
out that he's got a blood bond. How will he react and where will he take this?

FIRST MIDDLE CLARKE ♥ Ever wonder what it would be like to have an older sister? What about one
that could create storms? Probably not seeing as sisters do fight occasionally
and it wouldn't be fun to have a thunder ringing in your ears. However,
what if you could fight back? What if you had an element of your own? If you
think you can handle the storm brewing sister then check out the original ad

FIRST MIDDLE LAST ♥ We all agree that every Nina needs an Ian correct? If you're not catching my
drift I would get on it and watch some vampire diaries. Anyhow, we've got a
beautiful elemental by the name of Michaela who can create quite the storm.

ELYSIAN PACK MEMBERS ♥ Packs may seem like an old thing of the past, but they are alive and strong.
Fierce and protective of their native island of Elysian the Elysian
werepanther pack protect their own and require all other weres to submit
permission to roam, claim territory and if they do, hunt on the island.
They are run by an amazon woman of an Alpha (who is currently
available for taking) and don't take shit from anyone. If you're strong

ANDREW FAIRCHILD ♥ To separate siblings is cruel, to deny a pack animal their sibling is even
crueler. Meet Andrew Fairchild brother to Jaren Fairchild. The two are
werelions with a proud history and protective nature. If you're interested

THE HOLY CROSS ♥ Some of us just crave being bad and while the school has their new shiny
guns and their oh so menacing mercenary, the new head of safety the
Holy Cross has their weapons and their murders too. These are the men
and women who are exterminating the abomination of the Earth. If you

SHREVEPORT PACK ♥ Run by the Alpha Henry Taylor and straight from the folklore and
bayous of Louisiana, the Shreveport pack is the next most powerful
pack on the island. The pack gained original notoriety when they
arrived in full numbers requesting permission to own a territory
for them to shift and have ceremonies in. Fiercely loyal to one
another the pack warriors get tattoos which mark their
status as a fighter. Other pack members recruit and protect
