History» Born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Korea born Hyoyeon and Kyuhyun, Ailee is the younger sister to Kim Jaewon, a known Holy Cross member who sold out his own family to prove his knowledge of 'werewolf tracking'. She grew up like every Southern girl, enjoying hot summers and wet seasons, enjoying her mother's twist on Southern cuisine with a bit of traditional style thrown in, and learning to keep her traditional roots by speaking Korean at home and English in public.
She first joined the pack when she shifted, but when Henry and Ross moved to Elysian, she remained behind with her family, not wanting to be apart from them. Her elder brother, Jaewon, was the reason she left. Plagued with DID, Jaewon had always been unstable, ever since an attack from a vampire when he was young, before Ailee was born. In his mind, all other supernatural species needed to be eradicated, and so... he hid who he was and joined the Holy Cross.
In order to prove himself, he led them to a 'known werewolf' household, and Hyoyeon was killed in the ensuing attack. Henry's mother convinced Kyuhyun and Ailee to escape to Elysian, and that's where she lives now as a student, and part of Henry's pack.
