Katrina possesses the ability to control fire in various different ways, whether that be generating it, shaping it or anything else. She also has the ability to produce heat, when it's needed.

- Outgoing - Katrina absolutely adores people. The only way for me to explain just how much is comparing her to an excitable little puppy. She loves social interaction and will seek it out when she can.
- Art - Katrina is very handy with a paintbrush, and can paint almost anything on demand. She also likes sculpting and other forms of art
mostly because of the mess that she's allowed to make, but painting is her strongest area. - Weaponry - Katrina is extremely skilled when it comes to the use of weaponry. She loves bladed weapons, becoming proficient in the use of them, and she is astonishingly capable with a bow and arrow.

- ADHD - Katrina is a very excitable, hyper person who doesn't like to sit still for too long. She also has problems concentrating, often resulting in her making stupid mistakes and generally making her look like an idiot.
- Fiery temper - Katrina has a short fuse, and it doesn't take much to get her angry. Although not many people have dared get her mad, the last person that did... actually, we don't know what happened to the last person that did.
- Generosity - Despite her quick temper and her lack of concentration, Katrina is a very giving person. Now, this would be one of her strengths if she wasn't as generous as she actually is. She'd give her entire fortune to someone on the side of a road, if she could. This could lead to her getting taken advantage of, something she won't take well to.

Katrina began her life in a small city by the name of Gilette in Wyoming. She was born to loving, patient parents, which was just as well as young Katrina happened to have a lot of energy and a low attention span. Her parents were, in her mind, the best people alive. She loved them more than anything in the world that she could possibly have had. That love only intensifies when, when she was 2, they bore another child. Patrick Wilcott, Katrina's new baby brother.
When she turned 4, however, she received bad news. She and her father raced to the hospital to find her mother, pale and unconscious, lying in a bed. The monitor beeped steadily, slowly, along with Katrina's mother's heart. Katrina still remembers that noise to this day. The van that had hit her came out of nowhere, running a red light, travelling too fast in the hands of a drunk driver.
Katrina refused to leave her mother's side, despite being a mere child at the time. She knew this woman, and knew that she loved her more than anything. So there she stayed, day and night, whispering in her mother's ear, brushing her hair for her. She told her that she would be fine, and that when they made it out of the hospital, maybe they could do things together like the mother and daughter they were.
However, Katrina's well wishes weren't enough. The steady beep of the monitor became faster, more irregular over time, until one day, it evened out into one, long, flat noise. Katrina didn't understand what had happened at the time, she was only 4 years old, but the mask of sympathy on the doctor's face told her all she needed to know. Her mother was gone. And was never coming back. It has been since this moment of realisation that Katrina has been petrified of death.
Her father told her how her mother was happy now, and was with the angels in heaven. Katrina wasn't sure whether or not to believe this at first, but the ore her father told her that, the nicer it sounded, and the easier her mother's death became to deal with. It was only a few years before Katrina was once again the happy, energetic child she had been before this dreadful occurrence. She still had wistful thoughts of her mother, and sad moments after remembering the good relationship they once shared, but she was glad that they parted on good terms. Still, Katrina's fear of death never decreased in intensity.
As Katrina grew older, she started to discover that she wasn't normal. Not as normal as the other children, anyway. She was inattentive, even more so than she had been, couldn't sit still, was always moving, and was talking more than he needed to. And at a faster pace. In fact, when she spoke, she hardly drew breath. It wasn't long after that she was diagnosed with ADHD.
She was mortified by this discovery. She had some kind of weird disorder. Surely that made her weird, didn't it? She was weird. And different. Different from the rest of the world. And she didn't want to be different. Difference was judgement, something Katrina had always hated, even when it wasn't her on the receiving end. Any kind of prejudgment, in Katrinaa's eyes, was wrong. So how was she supposed to get by with this strange condition? She wasn't quite sure.
At 13 years old, something rather...interesting happened. Katrina gave her father a huge burn mark during an argument about her schoolwork , which she wasn't doing too well in because of her ADHD. She didn't mean to burn him, and wasn't quite sure how she did it. Se'd just meant to slap him; she didn't notice the fire streaking her palm until it was too late. But she did do it. And she felt terrible. He didn't die, thankfully( what? she didn't know how intense the burn was!) And he appeared to know what was going on. He explained that Katrina's grandmother had been a Fire Elemental, and that Katrina had inherited the powers that had apparently skipped her mother's generation.
She didn't believe him for a minute. Thought that the fire that she'd just burned him with had done funky things to his brain somehow, and insisted that he get checked over. But he refused, saying that what he had just told her was the truth. And, over time, Katrina actually found it to be pure truth. Now, she couldn't help it. She found this part of being different so cool. She could make fire! What part of that wasn't cool? There was none. And a couple of years later, when Patrick turned 13, it turned out that he also could manipulate fire. That was amazing! Not only could Katrina do all that, she cold help her little brother with it! How cool was that?!
After this discovery, Katrina gradually felt herself coming back to who she used to be. She was much happier, much livelier than she had been in years. And she put it down to this new spark of life in her (pun totally intended). She's finally accepted who she is, and is proud of it. Though she still hides her ADHD. That knowledge is only for certain people whom Katrina will deem worthy. And now, at eighteen years old, Katrina has moved to Elysian Island. Her father decided that it would be better for her and her brother to be among more of their own kind. What does she see it as? An opportunity. An opportunity to have fun, meet new people and learn how to control her powers better. And she's certain will enjoy every minute.
